OUR TIPS FOR USING CLARISKIM

Clariskim Piscine & Spa can be used all year round,
during the swimming season as well as during winterization.

 

Once placed in the skimmer, Clariskim helps reduce the use of chemical products, maintain crystal-clear water, and provide a more comfortable swimming experience.

 

Here is a guide to help you get the most out of Clariskim Piscine & Spa, both during winter and summer.

CLARISKIM CAN BE USED ALL YEAR ROUND

DURING THE

HIGH SEASON

To prevent stabilizer build-up,
reduce excessive chemical consumption, and ensure crystal-clear water for a more enjoyable swimming experience.

  1. Place 1 cartridge per skimmer.

  2. Activate your pool's filtration system* so that the water circulates through the cartridge.

  3. Replace the cartridges all at once a month, depending on their condition.

Used cartridges should be disposed of with

household waste.

*The filtration mode must be activated for a number of hours equivalent to half the water temperature per 24h.

IF YOU USE ACTIVE WINTERIZATION

To remove contaminants and accumulated stabilizer from your pool water after the summer season, making spring reopening easier.

  1. Place 1 cartridge per skimmer

  2. Activate your pool filtration* so that the water circulates through the cartridge

  3. Replace cartridges once a month

Used cartridges should be disposed of with

household waste.

*Filtration mode must be activated at least 4 hours every 24 hours.

USE CLARISKIM TO
REMOVE STABILIZER

The elimination of stabilizer with Clariskim is gradual: it depends on your pool’s chemistry, but also on you!

 

Here are a few tips if you want to achieve faster and more optimal elimination:

  • Temporarily switch to unstabilized chlorine to speed up the process. Each stabilized multi-action chlorine tablet reintroduces an average of 3 to 5 ppm of stabilizer.

  • Keep your chlorine level low, without ever aiming for zero: the lower it is, the faster the elimination will be.

​

  • Keep your pH stable, between 7.2 and 7.4, to speed up the results.

THE RISKS OF USING
MULTI-ACTION PRODUCTS

These products contain stabilizer to prevent chlorine from being broken down by UV rays.

​

The problem: stabilizer builds up over time. When its concentration becomes too high, chlorine is no longer effective. The only solution is to replace a large amount of your pool water to dilute the stabilizer level and return to concentrations where chlorine can work properly again.

​

Clariskim Piscine & Spa removes stabilizer and helps prevent this unnecessary water waste.
